Sides, Sides, Sides!

One of the best parts about Mexican cuisine is the sabor, or flavor. The flavor doesn’t just stop with our main dishes; it’s carried all the way through to each of our sides as well. Sometimes sides don’t get as much love as they should, so we decided to highlight some of our faves.

 

Platanos y Crema:

One of our most popular sides geared towards your sweet tooth. What makes our platanos y crema irresistable is our sweetened cream. The  platanos con crema are double fried to a golden crisp, glazed with our own condensed milk. Although our platanos y crema are sweet, they can be paired with any dish on our menu to make it complete. Platanos are used in many dishes in the Mexican cuisine, including the mole sauce. (Delish!)

 

Grilled Corn with Lime, Cayenne and Cotija Cheese

Haven’t tried our grilled corn yet? Get ready for your tastebuds to explode! What makes this side so delicious is that it’s smothered in Mexican Crema, and sprinkled with Cotija (a dry mexican cheese). We also sprinkle smoky chili powder or smoked paprika and fresh cilantro for an extra pop of flavor. To take it up a notch, the corn is grilled, adding a smoky sweet flavor. It will melt in your mouth like butter and leave you wanting more!

 

 

 

Charro Beans with Pork Belly

Our charro beans are baked in a traditional Mexican style, soaked overnight with a little bit of salt, black pepper, garlic, and onion for flavor. The pork belly is seared on the grill with our signature glaze. We add some diced tomatoes and pico de gallo to the beans. The final touch is our dry cheese (cotija) that could practically take ANY meal up a notch. These flavor-packed pinto beans combined with our perfectly seasoned pork belly make this side dish a perfect addition to any main dish.
